Famous nature photographer Cole Taylor avoids the limelight, living quietly in Ridgeline winter resort near Denver. Having inadvertently helped out ultimate klutz Alex Burns, a big city travel magazine copy writer who dared not object when her editor offered her a first field assignment, on her experiences trying out extreme sports, which she learn from his gallery manager Max to be his thing, he's convinced to try teaching her in exchange for help with Winter Walk, to annual fundraiser festival for his foundation to offer winter sport opportunities to underprivileged kids. She's scared of heights and everything else, he gets her to try and progress, while her Wall Street boyfriend Barton starts looking less attractive.
